When my father died suddenly, I thought about the abrupt end to his life’s path. He passed shortly after retirement when he was dedicating his time to taking care of my mother so she could quilt. I wonder what multiple abrupt ends might look like early on in the pandemic. My Life’s Paths series began after his passing and explores how our lives paths diverge from those we, and loved ones, envision. Much of our paths are out of our control.
